Under the organization of the Kenyan Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, in close collaboration with the CIHEAM-Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Bari (Italy) and the Ministry of High Education, science and research (Egypt), the Nairobi Safari Hotel hosted the 1st Sub- regional Dissemination Meeting towards Decision Makers and Research & Innovation Funders on February 18th.
5 AU-EU experts panelists (belonging to research organizations, academia, ministries, and innovation hubs) from Kenya, Uganda, Ethiopia, Somalia, and more than 30 participants (representatives of governmental institutions, research and innovation institutes, universities, international cooperation agencies, farmers’ organization) from Kenya and surrounding Countries, actively participated to the event, to discuss priorities and prepare recommendations addressed to decision-makers and R&I funders, to enhance food and nutrition security, sustainable agriculture and creating a favorable entrepreneurial environment for young people and women.
