Within the AGRF 2021 Pre-Summit, WUR (Wageningen University & Research), on behalf of LEAP4FNSSA project (Long-term Europe-Africa Research and Innovation Partnership for Food and Nutrition Security and Sustainable Agriculture), is organising an important session titled
AU-EU Game Changer for Resilient Food Systems.
Research can be the game changer for building new food system resilience pathways.
The AU-EU Platform is an opportunity for all stakeholders to raise their voice for the transformation they want. Peer reviewed evidence and innovation is the basis for developing policies. Knowledge management systems can make this information easily accessible. Added value for stakeholders comes from new coordination mechanism between stakeholder groups.
Policy makers, entrepreneurs, civil society actors, youth and scientists will be invited to come together for a new way of bi-continental cooperation, that brings together their knowledge to help policy makers make sound policies for driving agri-food development.
The discussion will be based on the Report Food System Resilience: Recommendations for the EU-Africa R&I Partnership on FNSSA.
