FarmKlan is an online platform that connects smallholder farmers with farm sponsors who fund farms to boost food production through the guidance of technical field experts. This system handles sourcing of funding, training, supply of inputs (such as seeds, fertilizers, medications, herbicides etc), land acquisition and ready markets to sell produce.
FarmKlan offers low income earners/middle class a new way to participate in agribusiness and improves the productivity and livelihood of small scale farmers who are responsible for 90% of Nigeria’s food production, yet face poverty, engage in crude farm practices, lack access to finance and find it difficult to sell their produce.
