Creating an International Research Consortium on Food, Nutrition Security and Sustainable Agriculture

The Long-term Europe-Africa Research and Innovation Partnership for Food and Nutrition Security and Sustainable Agriculture (LEAP4FNSSA) is pleased to invite you to the workshop preparing an International Research Consortium for Food, Nutrition Security and Sustainable agriculture; a collaborative platform for AU and EU.
The workshop will be held on 13 July 2022, from 10:30 to 16:30 CEST in a hybrid format. The physical meeting will be in Brussels, Belgium.
The workshop will create awareness on the International Research Consortium (IRC), the LEAP4FNSSA platform which will be launched in September 2022.
The IRC will serve as a bi-continental platform to advance FNSSA, create synergies between the many Research and Innovation (R&I) programmes, initiatives, and actors from both Europe and Africa. It will provide information on prospective partners, funding opportunities, and innovations that have worked in FNSSA.
This IRC, as a framework for improved coordination and added value between the diversity of European and African supported research projects and initiatives on agriculture and food security, will support innovation processes through adequate mechanisms and capacities, allowing knowledge to be mobilized to generate impact, strengthen capacities for collaboration among African and European Research and Innovation communities and strengthen the management of knowledge and information to reduce duplication and improve targeted investments by funders of research and innovation projects and initiatives.
