February 25 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
The East Africa Workshop On Stakeholder Engagement will involve participants from selected relevant regional bodies, research institutions, universities, research funding agencies, government agencies and other relevant stakeholders from Kenya, neighbouring countries and Europe.
LEAP4FNSSA project is supporting common initiatives and programmes in Food and Nutrition Security and Sustainable Agriculture (FNSSA ) through the development of institutional alliances that are complemented by the creation of clusters of projects.
In this view, the Ministry of Education Science and Technology (MEST) and the Department of Science and Technology (DST) in collaboration with the University of Helsinki (UniPID) and the University of Hohenheim (UHOH), are organising the East Africa Workshop on Stakeholder engagement, with the aim of:
- Identify areas for potential future work and regional cooperation on FNSSA
- Discuss the Future Long-term FNSSA Platform
The East Africa Workshop On Stakeholder Engagement will provide a platform to raise awareness of the proposed bi-continental long-term FNSSA Platform, the International Research Consortium (IRC), to all potential IRC members and stakeholders (researchers, decision makers, research and innovation funders and networks that focus on food and agriculture).
The meeting will provide a forum for the East African stakeholders to discuss their expectations in participating in the IRC platform and it will also create excitement and raising awareness about the IRC process on critical conditions for participation from the stakeholder’s view.
