The NAEA Private Sector is based on piloting the AU-EU Platform in two regions of Africa, North and West to define and plan optimum R&I in FNSSA, by building on the characteristics of the region as well as the profile of its respective stakeholders, and their readiness to join a multi-stakeholder AU-EU Platform.
The strength of the private sector in the region will enable to balance the North African R&I regional structures in FNSSA and participate to the establishment of relations and cooperation within the region.
As such, the North Africa Europe Alliance (NAEA) Private Sector activities are meant to secure twin aims:
To this aim, the workshop will discuss the African and European stakeholders, entrepreneurs, innovators, and farming communities needs and expectations, together with the funding opportunities, for an improved cooperation within the design and implementation of FNSSA projects.
The workshop will be followed by working groups to jointly review the priorities and select the thematic areas of relevance, whether based on teaming existing projects or initiating new programs, to be included in the Africa-Europe Multistakeholder Platform.
