MESRI-DFRSDT - Ministère de l’Enseignement Supérieur, de la Recherche et del’Innovation
The Ministry of Higher Education Research and Innovation (MESRI) of Senegal created in 2014 a Directorate in charge of financing research and technological development in Senegal (DFRSDT). MESRI-DFRSDT manages the national fund for supporting scientific and technical research (FIRST). It coordinates the research funding at the national level.

MESRI-DFRSDT will be contributing to WP4 (Task 4.1: Preparation of the communication and dissemination plan; Task 4.2: Communication activities; Task 4.3: Dissemination activities).
People
- Professor Soukèye Dia Tine is the Director of the DFRSDT. She’s a full professor of universities, specialist in oral surgery and implantology. Head of the Department of Oral Surgery, Department of Odontology, University Cheikh Anta Diop of Dakar, she’s responsible for the administration of the service and coordinate all teaching and research activities. Professor Soukèye Dia Tine has a great record of experience in management of research projects, and their linkages to policies and to Higher Education, including in the FNSSA domain through projects like LEAP-Agri.
